BWE headquarters competence center

The staff at BWE's headquarter in Berlin coordinates the Association's work on the federal level and for the state's offices. Above all, they ensure that our members receive comprehensive assistance. In addition to the department for members, committees and the general Association administration, the two departments of Policy and Communications are part of the headquarter. Furthermore, the editors of neue energie, the magazine for our members, are also located here, as is the BWE-Service department.

Each day, our staff works on current issues concerning the wind sector in the fields of policy, public relations, technology, law and administration processes. They collect the latest information and pass it on to the specific department within the Association. The BWE's website, brochures, flyers, and current press releases represent only a few of the channels that the Association uses to inform the general public about the work it does and current issues we are engaged with.

Promoting wind power worldwide

As one of the largest associations in the renewables sector worldwide, BWE also deals with a number of international requests concerning wind energy in Germany in its everyday work. We get queries from all over the world on the wind energy's situation in Germany, expansion rates, national policies and loacal regulations.

More than 45 countries, such as Spain and France, have adopted feed-in tariffs based on the German example. Asian countries such as South Korea, China, and Japan have shown great interest in the German transition to renewable energies. The BWE therefore contributes its competence by cooperating with major international renewable associations.
