BWE headquarters competence center

The staff at the BWE's headquarters in Berlin coordinate the Association's work for all of Germany. Above all, they ensure that our members receive comprehensive assistance. In addition to the department for members / committees and general Association administration, the two departments of Policy and Communications are part of headquarters. Furthermore, the editors of neue energie, the magazine for our members, are also located here, as is the BWE-Service department.

Each day, our staff cover current issues concerning the wind sector in the fields of policy, public relations, technology, law and processes. They collate the latest information and pass it all on to the specific department within the Association. The BWE's website, brochures, flyers, and current press releases are only a few of the channels that the Association uses to inform the general public about the work it does and the concerns it has.

Promoting wind power worldwide

As the largest association in the renewables sector worldwide, the BWE also deals with the great international interest in wind energy within Germany in its everyday work at headquarters. We get queries from all over the world on the German success story.

More than 45 countries, such as Spain and France, have adopted feed-in tariffs based on the German example. Asian countries such as South Korea, China, and Japan have shown great interest in the German switch to renewables. The BWE therefore contributes its competence to international policy consulting by working with major international associations.
